I think it is good that they restudied the job of the driver and created another job which is the loaders, Personally going down continuously while driving is indeed a very tedious task

I'd say that this is a wise decison on both the comapny and employee's part, because the company may spend some more on hiring loaders, but the expense is negated by the increase in work productivity of its employees and new jobs are opened for others to take, in short everyone is benefited by the company's decision..., besides driving the whole day is already a very tiring job...

It was great that UPS was able to understand what the drivers were going into everyday. And hiring new loaders was a great idea. But I was just wondering why wasn't this thing notieced earlier, before those drivers resigned.

It's good that the company was able to respond to the problems of their employees (drivers). Because of this, job satisfaction increased, a new job (loaders) was created for the public. The company didn't just made their employee happy, they also created other job opportunities for the public. Job satisfaction is really important for a company to be successful, if we don't satisfy the needs of the employee, expect that they would be less efficient in their work and worse comes to worse, they would quit their job. In the end, the company would suffer. So what UPS did was great, they immediately responded to the needs of the employees.
